Raccoon fly tying hair happens to be a common hair used by many fly tyers. Raccoon hair is similar to Arctic Fox, but is longer and can be used as a substitute for bucktail and marabou. This particular fly tying material is excellent for wings and tails and the long, soft underfur can be used for dubbing bodies. It is also great for fly tying patterns such as:

  • tube flies
  • trout, salmon and steelhead streamer patterns
  • clouser minnows
  • striper flies
  • bonefish flies

Each piece is cut to approximately 3x3in.
